USRA Hosts Meeting with Cindy Marten, Deputy Secretary, U.S. Department of Education and the Council of Institutions

On Friday, June 30, 2023, Cindy Marten, Deputy Secretary, U.S. Department of Education, provided a virtual address to the USRA Council of Institutions.

Deputy Secretary Marten discussed a recent joint memorandum of understanding between NASA and the Department of Education to reinforce the longstanding partnership between these two vital agencies and reinforce the Administration’s commitment to STEM, climate, space exploration, and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility issues in education. 

Deputy Secretary Marten also answered questions directly from senior university faculty and administrators from USRA institutions.
